  Court stays moving library to DPI complex

In a petition filed by P Pugalenthi, R Prabhakaran and S T Manonmani, the Madras High Court has stayed the decision of the Tamil Nadu government to shift the Anna Centenary library to the DPI campus in Nungambakkam.

 

Chief Justice M T Eqbal and Justice T S Sivagnanam said that the DPI complex is not yet ready and the construction of the knowledge park is underway and asked the advocate general to file counter affidavit. The court will take up the case in six weeks time, meanwhile the court issued a stay order on shifting of the library.
