The Judge on rejecting the bail for DMK MP Kanimozhi and six others said that a strong message has to be sent to white collar criminals that they cannot get away with the crime after spending few months in jail and later enjoying luxurious life in the name of bail.

The judge said that if a person can come out on bail after misappropriating with people’s money it set a precedent for others to commit such crime, spend a few months in jail and then lead an extravagant life with the swindled money while out on bail.
