|Deepika, Super Star's pair in Rana|

Super Star Rajinikanth is all geared up to recreate his phenomenal hit of the 80’s ‘Moondru mugam’ through his next venture ‘Rana’. As in the yesteryear flick, he will don three roles in ‘Rana' too. Through this the success creating combo of actor Rajinikanth, director K.S.Ravikumar and composer A.R. Rahman comes together after nearly a decade. The films ‘Muthu' and ‘Padaiyappa' of this combo invariably figure in the list of all-time favourites of Rajini’s fans. The movie will go on floors this March and will be expected as a 2012 release.
‘Rana' will be produced by the actor's wife Latha Rajinikanth, for Ocher Studios and Eros International with Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone playing the female lead. Cinematographer Rathnavelu who worked in ‘Enthiran' enters this project too. Rajeevan is the art director. Technical and special effects will be co handled by daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth and Emmy award winning Charles Darby from Eyeqube Studios. This movie to be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi is expected to be a complete entertainer appealing to both rural and urban audiences.
