  100 mw from central pool to ease TN power crisis

The ongoing power crisis situation in the state is grim leading to protests across the state. In this connection the Union power ministry has announced that an additional 100 mw of power from the Central pool will be provided to ease the current power situation.

 

The announcement was made by minister of state in the PMO V Narayanasamy on Thursday with this Tamil Nadu will get more than 2,200 mw from the Central pool. It may be noted that the state needs 4,000 mw to meet the demands of the state. The chief minister Jayalalithaa will be meeting the electricity board officials to discuss the power situation in the state.
