The
AIADMK’s election manifesto
which was released on Thursday holds
some similarity to the BJP ideology,
where the manifesto speaks about scrapping
the Sethu Samudram Shipping Canal
project (SSCP). Though her allies
are for the project, the AIADMK chief
has come out vehemently against it.
She has been constantly voicing her
opinion that the project had benefited
only T R Balu, the Union Minister
of Shipping and the chief minister’s
family.
