Indian archers bag gold and bronze

Indian archers bag the gold medal at the World Cup archery finals (Stage-1) at Santo Domingo defeating Great Britain 221-215. The winning team consists of Rahul Banerjee, Mangal Singh Champia and Jayanta Talukdar.

This is not all! The women’s team comprising Jhano Hansdah, Bheigyabati Chanu and Manjudha Soy won the bronze medal after beating Venezuela 219-208. The other bronze was won by Dola Banerjee after

pulling out a tie-breaker with Reena Kumari. Both made 102-102 and finally Reena shot 7 and Dola 8, to clinch the bronze medal.
