third mega alliance in TN |

A third alliance was formed in Tamil Nadu
today with the BJP joining hands with Akila
India Samathuva Makkal Katchi (Sarath Kumar),
All India Nadalum Makkal Katchi (M Karthik),
Janata Dal (Subramanian Swamy), Bharatiya
Forward Bloc and Dravida Vizhippunarvu Kazhagam.
In a meeting announcing the ‘mega alliance’,
the Tamil Nadu BJP senior leader N Venkaiah
Naidu stated that the BJP would come out victorious
and form a ‘stable and able’ government.
Lashing on the Congress government, Venkaiah
Naidu said that the Congress is functioning
without a finance minister during the time
of financial crisis. He vouched for the party’s
prime ministerial candidate L K Advani, calling
him a clean, capable and a man of calibre.

The Akila India Samathuva Makkal Katchi would
contest from five constituencies namely, Tuticorin,
Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Namakkal and Tirupur.
While the All India Naadalum Makkal Katchi
will contest in Virudhunagar and Theni, Janata
Dal (United) will contest in Arakkonam and
Thiruvallur.
Karthik and Sarath Kumar who were present
for the meeting told reporters that their
party would strive for the victory of the
mega alliance. |
