Separation of his child had driven a man to commit suicide in Bengaluru. His final moments were caught on his mobile camera. The victim Syed Ahmed Makdoom, a software engineer had recorded his declaration, holding his wife responsible for this extreme step.

A 10-minute video clip, spelling out reasons for his suicide was recovered by the police. It ran as follows:

“Today I am ending my life. I am ending my life after being betrayed by my separated wife. I am ending my life as nobody understood my attachment and feeling towards my son.”

Makdoom committed suicide last Thursday. The neighbors became suspicious of the foul stench and broke open the house, to find the man hanging from the ceiling.

A suicide note was also found replicating the same message on camera.
