The
actor-turned politician Chiranjeevi
has in his election manifesto promised
to dig into the corruption charges
against the Congress and the Telugu
Desam Party (TDP). He also assured
a subsidized grocery at Rs 100 a month
for the deprived. Some of the other
goodies are cooking gas cylinder for
Rs 100 and distribution of land for
the poor. The manifesto holds land
reforms and two to five acres of land
for the landless. Transfer of powers
and finance to village level bodies
was also promised by the mega star.
