Speaking to the media persons yesterday,
M Karunanidhi stated that he has evidence
to prove that there are irregularities in
the nomination papers filed by D Pandian.
The legal advisor for DMK N Jyothi stated
that the CPI leader had purchased 4.67 acres
of land worth Rs.1,79,529 last year and
has also signed in the land purchase documents.
The DMK has pressed for legal action if
the Chief Electoral Officer does not take
any steps in this regard.
Meanwhile, D Pandian has denied these charges
saying that he has nothing to hide.
