Jaya seeks Sonia’s explanation

The AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa had a few questions for the President of the Congress Party Sonia Gandhi. During an interview with a news channel, Jayalalithaa wanted Sonia to break her silence on the Karunanidhi’s statement, calling Prabhakaran his friend.

The AIADMK chief said Mr. Karunanidhi being the Chief Minister and the State Home Minister is not acting responsibly. The police cannot take action

against him because he controls the home department; she alleged and asked the Central Government to take steps on this issue. She said that Sonia Gandhi should ask this question and not her spokesperson or other leaders of the Congress.

When questioned about Sonia’s foreign origin, Jayalalithaa stated that it is not an issue now since she is not the prime ministerial candidate. When asked about the Third Front she said she will cross the bridge when it comes. She added that her options are open and she is flexible as they are the characteristics of a good politician.
