College student beats Obama

The world’s most influential list is out and a 21-year-old student has topped the list amidst strong competition from head honchos like Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin, Sonia Gandhi and many more.

Christopher Poole, the founder of the online community 4chan.org received a massive 16,794,368 votes to be named the ‘World’s Most Influential Person’ by Times Magazine.

4chan.org scores 5.6 million visitors a month with 13 million page views a day. The second position was taken by Malaysian Politician Anwar Ibrahim followed by evangelist Rick Warren, the fourth place goes to Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud and the fifth to Google's Larry Brilliant.

Faraway in the line is the US President Barack Obama positioned at number 37, the Congress Party president Sonia Gandhi at 62, Ronnie Screwvala of UTV Software Communications at the 70th place and Ratan Tata at 97. In the extended list features Mukesh Ambani at number 146.
