Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple is a famous landmark
in Mylapore. The temple tank where the float
festival is celebrated during the month of
January or February was infested with dead
cat fishes.
These dead cat fishes were cleared from the
tank, thanks to the efforts of Mylapore MLA
S Ve Shekher with the assistance of Sri Barathy,
President, South Indian Fishermen Association
and with the efforts of Kasimedu fishermen. |
