Sanjay Dutt was barred from contesting the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. But this has not deterred the Samajwadi Party to which he belongs from assigning him a major role in their party. The SP had announced today that Sanjay will be the party’s new General Secretary. Party sources say that Sanjay will campaign extensively for other candidates in the fray. The actor turned politician will stay in Lucknow till the elections are over.
