Mysterious death of TN boy in Singapore

A youth from Tamil Nadu died under mysterious circumstance in Singapore where he was working as a contract worker. Velmurugan, a 27-year-old automobile engineer from Kakili Sikkaiyan Patti in Theni district died on April 3 and his body was sent to India on April 9. Though, the officials stated that the boy had some health problems, which resulted in his death, the boy’s father claimed that he was healthy when he had taken a medical checkup before leaving to Singapore. head injury and nothing was mentioned about the injury in the death certificate that came along with the body.

Velmurugan was not happy with his job as he was asked to do miscellaneous work at the Singapore Port Trust by an agency called PSA Ltd.

Moreover, Velmurugan’s colleague stated that a crane hook hit him on the head while working at the Port.

The boy’s parents have approach the Theni district collector seeking inquiry into the death of their son and he assured that the papers will be forwarded to the concerned authorities.
