Vaiko was not arrested after sedition
case was registered against him under
section 13(1) of the Unlawful Activities
Amendment Act, 2004, and Section 124-A
and Section 505 (1) (b) of the IPC
for statement like ‘bloodbath
in the state’ and ‘unity
of India at stake’. In spite
of obtaining legal opinion no action
has been taken.
Sources in the government say that
the police were not ordered to arrest
Vaiko on the said charges
