| Former TTD chairman and PCC general
secretary, B. Karunakar Reddy, began his indefinite fast here today,
to press for a CBI probe into the allegations leveled against him
by the Opposition leaders. Karunakar Reddy, who was accompanied by his followers along with Bhaskar Reddy, former TUDA chairman, town Congress president P. Pratap Reddy, INTUC leader Mabbu Chenga Reddy and others, started his protest at a specially erected pandal near Sinivasam pilgrim complex. “Except to go on an indefinite fast he did not have any other option”, he said. Reddy said he was neither involved in misuse of funds or any corruption when he was the TTD chief. He said that the fast was to absolve him of the charges leveled by the opposition and also uphold the image of the TTD and Tirumala. |
