I was a rowdy says P Chidambaram

“My friends and I were a rowdy bunch from the MCC High School ready to enter college for our Pre-University Course (PUC),” said the Home Minister and former Loyolite P. Chidambaram while delivering the inaugural address at the Loyola World Alumni Congress at the Loyola College in Chennai.

Loyola was on his priority list because the train ride to the Madras Christian College at Tambaram was too long, admitted Union Home Minister P Chidambaram.

“Though the school headmaster said he had given us recommendations to enter MCC, we were reluctant because of the long journey.” Admission in to the college proved simple after he met the then principal Fr Lawrence Sundaram, “No queues, no rush, no questions; he just took one look at me and admitted me. I regret having been here for only nine months” said P. Chidambaram.
