Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was boycotted by the print media persons during the post-match media conference. The media persons decided to boycott the press conference as Dhoni kept them waiting for over an hour soon after the conclusion of the India-Sri Lanka ODI. According to the media persons, Dhoni and his team mates were playing football while the presspersons were waiting for him.

Reports say that as per the procedure both the team captains should address the media within 30 minutes of the prize distribution ceremony and failed to do so.
