| “Countdown has begun for the DMK government’s
exit in Tamil Nadu and AIADMK will capture power and form the next
government”, claimed former CM Ms. J. Jayalalithaa on Sunday. Speaking while solemnizing the marriages of 20 couples, including the son of former minister and legislator Natham R. Viswanathan, here Ms. Jayalalithaa said “he (Karunanidhi) may try to spoil our electoral prospects by using his money power. So, step up vigil and ensure our party’s victory”. “Our countdown to success has commenced. Success beckons us. From now on, let us strive for the party’s victory,” she urged her party members, but warned that the party would face setbacks if its workers are not watchful even for a moment. “A person lost an opportunity to enter heaven despite waiting at the gates of heaven for 1,000 years only because he became weary for a moment when the gates opened”, she quoted an example. “After taking over the party from my mentor and party founder M.G. Ramachandran, I have been leading the party amidst all odds”, Ms Jayalalithaa said, adding, “Now it has become difficult to judge who will switch sides all of a sudden”. She said one should serve the organization loyally so that the leader can repose faith in him. |
