American President Barack Obama
has said that he is least bothered about rumours of his birthplace
or faith and blamed his conservative enemies for perpetuating misinformation
and an online campaign myth that he's a Muslim.
After marking the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Obama
said in an interview on Sunday in New Orleans that there's "a
network of misinformation that in a new media era can get churned
out there constantly".
I cannot achieve anything "If I spend all my time chasing after
that", he said when asked why so many people were uncertain
about something as fundamental as his faith. "I can't spend
all my time with my birth certificate plastered on my forehead",
the US President said.
