Rajendran who attended a conference in Loyola College in city said that, "80% of the complaints have been solved with the help of counsellors. Counselling centres are being planned in all the 27 all-women police stations in the city so that most of the family-related issues can be settled immediately".

"Family problems, marital issues, problems between lovers among others are being faced by the police. There are counsellors at four of the all-women police stations in the city. We are now planning to have them in all the 27 all-women police stations. Social welfare department’s is also sought. But if a husband-and-wife quarrel ends up in the wife being beaten up, we will take strong legal action against the husband," Rajendran said.
