Will Nawaz Sharif contest elections remains a big question as the Supreme Court banned him from contesting the elections. The top court also stated that election of Shahbaz, brother of Nawaz Sharif is null and void. The tri-member bench headed by Justice Musa K Leghari upheld a ban on Sharif going the polls.

Sharif stated after the judgement that “This is not a judicial order but a ‘diktat’ and people know who did this.”
