This year Railway budget will be presented
keeping in mind the general elections. The
Railway minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav is expected
to reduce the passenger fares and will announce
new trains during the interim railway budget
today. It is expected that the 3-AC fares
and general class fares also will experience
a 10% slash.
A senior official of the railway ministry
stated that the minister would present a vote-on-account
in the parliament on Friday. The
Railway minister also mentioned that the
budget will not be presented considering
the forth coming elections. He also vowed
to continue his good work as usual. The
minister also will give a presentation of
previous achievements and the income generated
during his reign as Railway minister, as
this is the final budget the government
would be presenting.
