The Congress unit in UP has said that Thackeray has his lost mental balance after facing electoral defeats and "rebellion" within family. They also said that Shiv Sena has crossed all limits of decency by staging personal attacks on Rahul Gandhi.

Congress Legislature Party leader Pramod Tewari said, "Following party's electoral defeats and "rebellion" within family, the Sena chief appears to have lost his mental balance after his party's defeat in the recent elections and by indulging in personal attack on Rahul he has crossed all limits of decency."

He also added that Thackeray will be forced to answer on the suspicious death of his son and the exit of daughter-in-law from his house.

Thackeray also said that Shiv Sena’s personal encounters on top personalities like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Gandhi, Mukesh Ambani, Shah Rukh Khan and Amair Khan is just to get the media attention.
