Protest to condemn arrest of DYFI members

The South Chennai Unit of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) staged a demonstration at Saidapet on February 4, 2010 to condemn the arrest of their fellow cadres (around 600 members) on February 3, 2010 by the police in connection with their agitation to oppose the GO 170G of the Tamil Nadu Government, which facilitates the reemployment of retired Tamil Nadu Government employees on contract basis.

KA Santhosh, Kannan, Manikandan, MA Rajendran (auto), K Vanajakumari (women’s association), and Rajkumar (students’ association) took part in the demonstration.
