New Zealanders frustrated by IPL

February 01, 2010 04:56 PM

New Zealand players are frustrated as the IPL has announced that it will not share its security arrangements to its players association.

New Zealand Cricket Players' Association chief Mills said that they have approached IPL but was unfortunately turned down.

"We have already approached the IPL through FICA and Tim May and the players have written to their franchises"—he added.

"Unfortunately, the IPL will not engage us or work with us on the issue which is frustrating for us and the players"—he added.

He also said that players association cannot advice their players either to participate or not since they are lacking on information.

"Players are coming to us for advice. However we cannot give them any quality advice at the moment about participating in the IPL as we have no information about the security situation or management plans"—he added.

He also said that players would be pushed to take their individual decisions in participating in IPL3.
