Monster to buy Yahoo’s job site

One of the leading online job portal, Monster has announced that it is all set to acquire Yahoo's jobsite Hot Jobs for $225 million.

According to a PTI report both Monster and Yahoo has agreed on a three-year 'commercial traffic agreement' in which Monster would become provider of career content on Yahoo's home page.

So monster will provide career content of yahoo’s US and Canada homepage. Sources also say that Monster has agreed to pay the entire amount in cash.

It is to be noted that Yahoo has bought Hot Jobs in 2002 for a whooping $436 million.

On commenting on this partnership Yahoo said that it is still focused on its core business "remains focused on its core businesses and delivering exceptional experiences to users, partners and advertisers"
