Pakistan selector resigns

February 01, 2010 04:56 PM

Pakistan’s chief selector has submitted his resignation following Pakistan’s poor display in Australia.

Pakistan has lost all the three Tests and 5 ODIs to Australia this summer. Qasim also said that he is very disappointed like millions of Pakistan fans.

"I am very disappointed, like millions of Pakistanis, over the manner in which the Pakistan team lost the Test series 3-0 and one day series 5-0"—he said.

"As I am responsible for the selection of the team, I quit from my post"—he added.

He is the one who said that Pakistan needs a ‘major surgery’ for its ODI team.

Speaking to a popular cricket website Qasim said that this is the best possible team that they could pick.

"We made this team and it was the best possible team, but their performance has been really poor, unbelievably poor"—he added.
