Rahul Gandhi traveled by Mumbai’s local train between Andheri and Dadar. To the surprise of not only Mumbaikars but to the security personnel too the Gandhi scion hopped into a fast local train at Andheri around 1 pm. Rahul pulled out cash from the ATM and bought first class tickets for the travel. It is also reported that he paid for his security personnel too.

According to his tour itinerary, Rahul was supposed to drive to the Juhu airport and take a helicopter to Ghatkopar.

During a short speech to the Congress youth cadre in Ghatkopar he said, “I get inspiration from the city and Mumbaikars whenever I have visited the city.”

Commenting on Rahul’s train journey, Uddhav Thackeray said, “If such a police cover is kept every day for the commoners there will be no terrorism in the city.”

He also took credit for Rahul’s rail travel saying that Rahul did so to avoid his party men waving black flags at him.
