Vayalar Ravi’s condition stable after a car accident

Vayalar Ravi, the Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs has been hospitalized after he met with a car accident around mid noon in Liberia.

The minister is on a tour of Africa where he was to visit places like Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Liberia and Nigeria between January 29 and February 6 when the accident occurred. He is undergoing treatment at the John F Kennedy Medical Center in the Liberian capital, Monrovia.

Ravi is said to be out of danger and is kept under observation.

Writing on this on his twitter account, the Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor said that the minister’s condition is stable and that he can be shifted back to India if need arises.

Along with Ravi, India's ambassador to Cote d'Ivoire, Shamma Jain was also injured in the accident.
