Months before his death, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson converted to Islam and the family is now considering a traditional Muslim burial, states X17 a celebrity website.

The family stated that MJ’s new Will asks for a traditional Muslim burial.

According to the report, “The family is considering following the Muslim burial traditions because Michael would have wanted to be laid to rest in keeping with his new-found religious beliefs. Michael’s brother Jermaine is educating the family as to the special rites.”

Last November Jackson converted to Islam and was given a new name Mikhaail.

The memorial service will be held at Staples Centre, downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday at around 1000 hrs LA local time, stated his concert promoter Randy Phillips.

So far only the place and time has been finalized and other details will take shape only after discussing with the family members of MJ, said Phillips.
