The Madras High Court Judge R Regupathi has alleged that he was under pressure from a Union Minister in a bail case. Though, the judge did not name the Minister, the AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa has stated that the unnamed minister was A Raja, the IT and Communications Minister and demanded his removal from the cabinet.

The bail case involves C Krishnamurthy, a doctor and his son, a medical student who are being investigated for forging the answer sheet. The doctor and his son are accused of maneuvering with the answer papers of ophthalmology examination in a private medical college in Puducherry.

Jaya stated, “Though the judge has not named him, it doesn't require any super human intelligence to guess that it is A Raja.” She continued, “''Even after this, if Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh continued to turn a blind eye to the misdeeds and illegal acts of Mr Raja, it would be a great disservice to the country and to the democracy.”
