Indians
are named the fourth most anxious
people in the world only after Japanese,
Russians and Americans. The survey,
conducted by an advertising company
JWT, showed that Indians are worried
about recession and terrorism.
The analysis also says, “[But]
since the recent general elections,
there has been a palpable feeling
of hope and optimism. There is a strong
belief that the government will be
able to shield India from the worst
of the recession.”
The anxiety level has been high after
the delayed government response in
handling the post 26/11 state of affairs,
as per the research.
According to Kripalani, psychologist,
“But these two factors are aggravating
other disorders leading to anxiety.
Recession surely has made people think
of ways to cut expenses and they are
cutting down on leisure-spending,
leading to even more stressful lifestyles.”
The survey has also placed the Chinese
in the least worried category as China
when compared to other nations is
least apprehensive about their economy.
