At
least six major plots have been forestalled
after the 26/11 attacks, it has been
learnt. Two were precluded in Kashmir
and one each in Kupwara and Delhi.
Evidence regarding the planned attack
by the Lakshar-e-Toiba was given by
the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh
to the Pakistan President Asif Ali
Zardari in June during his visit to
Russia.
The Indian intelligence agencies
revealed that six attempts was foiled
including the one planned by Muhammad
Umar Madani, aide of Lashkar Chief
Hafeez Muhammed Saeed.
There were plans to send over 100
terrorists to Kashmir which was foiled.
The impact of the attacks would have
been severe if they were attempted,
says sources.
