The
recession is forcing more and more
Indian workers back to their motherland.
And this time around it’s from
the United Arab Emirates.
Around 1.5 lakh Indian workers were
sent back from the UAE as there is
a delay in the execution of projects
due to economic meltdown, stated Overseas
Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi
in the Lok Sabha.
Many workers are of the hope to return
to the country after things settle
down.
The minister stated that the Indian
embassies in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait,
Bahrain and Qatar have been updated
about the job loss, some Indians have
moved to Malaysia seeking greener
pastures. |
