Nungambakkam
yesterday experienced a tragic drama
on the streets. A youth set himself
ablaze, well this time it was not
for the Tamil Eelam cause but due
to love failure.
The youth, identified as Suresh Kumar
(23) was admitted to the Kilpauk Medical
college hospital were he died due
to the burn injuries.
Suresh Kumar, a resident of Kodambakkam,
was in love with a girl for a year
now and wanted to marry her. But due
to the hostile measures taken by both
the family members of the girl and
the boy, the girl decided to marry
another man. This triggered Suresh
and he resorted to this extreme step.
The public immediately tried to put
off the fire and called an ambulance.
The victim, however, refused to provide
any details about the girl, when questioned
by the police. Investigations are
on.
