New CEO and CFO appointed for Mahindra Satyam

Tech Mahindra has announced the new CEO for Mahindra Satyam. CP Gurnani will be the new chief executive of the company. The government-appointed CEO, AS Murthy will make way for the new CEO but will remain with the company.

Apart from appointing the CEO, the CFO also was appointed. S Durgashankar will take over as the new CFO of Mahindra Satyam after Vadlamani Srinivas was arrested with regard to the Satyam scam.

The outgoing chief executive of Tech Mahindra Vineet Nayyar stated, “We are contemplating a common governance board for both the companies, which will determine the rules and seek out congruence.”

He added that both companies Tech Mahindra and Satyam will be merged but the dates are yet to be finalized.

Nayyar will now be the Executive Vice-Chairman of both the companies. Both Gurnani and Durgashankar were employed with Tech Mahindra as Global Operations, Sales and Marketing functions and senior vice-president (M&A) for Mahindra Group, respectively.
