Online medical PG entrance put off due to virus

The online entrance examination for the super specialty courses in medicine was cancelled yesterday following a virus attack. The examination that was to be held at the Vel Tech Engineering College, Avadi was cancelled by the Directorate of Medical Education. The new dates are yet to be announced.

More than 500 candidates applied for the examination for DM and M.Ch entrance exam. This was the first time that a test in online format is being conducted for this stream. The model CD’s also did not work, complained candidates who came to the examination center on Sunday.

The test cancellation announcement came at around 11 am when the selection committee stated that the test was called off due to virus attack.
