June 25 2009 08:00 PM

A violent protest took place in Delhi yesterday against the power cut and the water shortage in the city. The protesters even pelted stones on buses and blocked the traffic in the city.

The protest happened in south Delhi's Sangam Vihar. And our sources say that the protesters have damaged four buses in the process.

And in Kondli and Rajbir Nagar, people blocked traffic for some time to protest against water shortage.

But after the arrival of adequate forces the situation was bought under control.

The Opposition party the BJP took this issue to the National assembly and staged a walkout when its demand for a special discussion was turned down by the Chair.

Even some people approached police in central Delhi to register a "missing complaint" against water, local MLA and the municipal councilor.

One of the protesters, Nirmal Kaur said "We are not getting water and power for the past few days. There is nobody to listen. The municipal councilor and MLA are missing. So, we thought of registering a missing complaint."
