The DCM mentioned that an advisor would be appointed to execute the water source project. Speaking on the subject, Stalin said, “The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board is taking efforts to provide quality drinking water to the residents of Chennai.”

Touching on the Hogenakkal drinking water project, he stated that preliminary work is on and the project would end by December 2010. This will take care of the water needs of Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts.
