A sex racket was busted in a massage
parlor in Teynampet on Saturday where
four persons were arrested. Four women
-- two from Manipur and two from Nepal
-- were rescued and sent to the government
home in Mylapore.
Acting on a tip-off, police teams
sent a decoy to the 'Jai Rali Natural
Health Spa' in Teynampet. After confirming
that the reported irregularities were
indeed happening, the decoy informed
the police teams waiting outside the
spa, police sources said.
The latter barged into the parlour
and arrested Sunil, 32, of Kerala,
Murali Kumar, 35, of Saidapet, Pugazhenthi,
38, of Jafferkhanpet and Suresh, 41,
of Virugambakkam. Mani, the owner
of the parlor is absconding.
Two Manipuri girls and two Nepali
girls, who were ostensibly employees
of the massage parlor but were allegedly
indulging in sex work, were rescued
and sent to a government home in Mylapore.
Rs 5,000 to Rs 3,000 were charged
for different types of services at
the parlor say police.
The Teynampet police registered a
case under Sections 3 (1), 4 (1) (a)
and 7 (1) of the Immoral Trafficking
Prohibition (ITP) Act.
