The attack on the Sri Lankan cricketers has caused major concern worldwide. The Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse asked Foreign minister Rohitha Bogollagama to hurry to Pakistan following the attack on their cricketers. The minister did not rule out the possibility of LTTE hand in the attack. He stated that it is too early to come to any conclusion on the incident and said that they would wait for the Pakistan investigation to be completed.

The Pakistan spokesperson also did not contradict the statement of Bogollagama about the involvement of a common enemy of Pakistan-Sri Lanka in the attack.
