On Thursday the Internet search giant announced a lay off of 200 sales and marketing employees. Google now is hiring for 360 job vacancies. The positions for which recruitment will take place are from software engineers in sales and marketing division.

The Google spokesman Matt Furman stated that the layoff is eminent in one part of the organization and there is need for more people in another part of the organization. He also stated that the Thursday layoff has no connection with this recruitment process.
