Inflation at all time low

Inflation touches the least at 0.44 percent for the week ending 7 March, last week it was 2.43 percent. The threat of deflation is clear as the zero mark is not far away.

Food stuffs like gram will be 5 percent lesser and tea, fruit, vegetables will cost less by 3 percent. Though, moong and sea food are likely to go up by 2 percent each.

Fruits

In the fuel category, electricity for agriculture and jet fuel has fallen by 8 percent and light diesel by 7 per cent. But there is no relief for domestic consumption of electricity, as they are likely to cost more.
