New IPL schedule sent

A new schedule was sent to the Union Home Ministry on the Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 championship matches.

Following the terror attack on Sri Lankan players early this week, this decision was taken today. The new schedule was sent because of security reasons especially with the Lok Sabha elections colliding with the earlier IPL match dates.

The Union Home Minister P Chidambaram stated that the security for the players would be sparse during the elections, as the security personnel would be spread across the country to tackle poll situation. Taking this into consideration the new schedule has been designed.
