All eyes are on the forth coming Lok Sabha elections and how much will be spent on the election process. According to Centre for Media Studies (CMS), a survey was conducted and the magic figure is around Rs.10,000 crore (roughly USD 2 billion). This amount is stated to be more than the amount spent on the US presidential election. The US election cost according to US Federal Election Commission was put around Rs 8,000 crore (USD 1.8 billion)
