Its election time and poll predictions are given top priority now. According to the recent pre-poll analysis made by Times of India, it states that the UPA has an edge over other parties. The research indicates that there is not much of difference between the UPA and the NDA; the former may win with 201 seats and the latter following closely at 195 seats. This is followed by the Third Front at 82 and Others 65.

the government. It is also predicted that Mayawati could win 35 seats and may be instrumental in forming the government. The calculations are likely to change over the weeks before election, based on the alliance partners and political situation ahead.

The analysis also forecasts that the delimitation may influence the polls to a great extension and even topple the standard calculation patterns that were followed for years now. The candidates list is vital to come to a conclusion regarding the election wins. ‘Times of India’ feel that there are number of factors that may alter the predictions in the coming weeks. So it is best to wait and watch the turn of events.
