The brave effort of the bus driver, Meher Mohammad Khalil, saved the lives of the Sri Lankan cricketers. As a mark of admiration, Daily News and the Sunday Observer, state run newspapers, have offered a fully paid holiday package for the Pakistani driver.

An invite for a week long holiday in Sri Lanka was sent to Mohammad Khalil and his wife through the Pakistan High Commission in Colombo.

The invitation said, “This is a token of our appreciation and gratitude for your courageous action in saving the lives of our valued cricket team when they came under terrorist attack.”
