Mar 20, 2009

The lawyers have announced the withdrawal of their month-long strike on Thursday evening. They will resume work from Monday. Following the suspension of two top police officials by the Madras High Court on Wednesday, this decision was taken by the various lawyers associations.

The lawyers stated that they have agreed to drop their agitation following the request of the Full Bench. But, however, they added that they would continue their

struggle until the suspension of Commissioner K Radhakrishnan and Director General of Police K P Jain.

Meanwhile, the two suspended police officials have flown to Delhi to file an appeal in the Supreme Court, it is believed. Looks like it is still a wait and watch game.
